Critic's Review:
Ivory, subtitled A Tribute to the Endangered Species, is a unique album inspired by and dedicated to a variety of endangered animals and is intended to underscore their dignity and beauty. Written and performed by Jim Centorino, a renowned composer and accomplished trumpet player, Ivory's songs vary in mood and emotion, according to the images and perceptions of the endangered species being musically portrayed. Centorino pays homage to the black rhinoceros, gray (timber) wolf, humpback whale, dolphin, African elephant, bald eagle, loon and waterfowl, among others. Centorino's exceptional trumpet playing is backed by acoustic guitar, piano, harp and his own keyboards... ~ MusD, All Music Guide
