Nunez creates music worth immersing in out of the spare instrumentation of his guitar and the distinctive Iberian rhythmic hand clapping known as palmas. Animated Armenian percussionist Arto Tuncboyaciyan and jazz musicians Jon Patitucci (Bass) and Danilo Perez (piano) add subtle, supporting elements. Any time I start this CD, the entrancing instrumental compositions pull me straight through to the end. Nunez' jazz-tempered Andalusian flamenco is passionate, highly developed and instantly rewarding to the listener.
