Brownmark played bass with Prince's band The Revolution and later founded the group Mazarati. He was both a songwriter and a performer, and he did manage to get a moderate R&B hit with the first single from this '88 album, "Next Time." The production, arrangements, and sensibility were part rock, part funk, and a little soul, but no other song generated enough airplay to make the album successful. ~ Ron Wynn, All Music Guide
