After collaborating with DJ Skribble for the first two volumes in the MDMA series, Anthony Acid handled the third volume by himself. It features more trance than past volumes, and that has more to do with trance being the most trendy sound of the time than it does with Acid becoming a trance DJ. In particular, Kernkraft's "Zombie Nation" is here, one of the most commercially successful crossover dance songs of 2000. Elsewhere, there isn't anything particularly novel here -- just a lot of quickly dated progressive trance. Thankfully, Justin Time takes over for Acid on the fourth volume, bringing a fresh approach. However, his efforts aren't all that fruitful either. ~ Jason Birchmeier, All Music Guide
