The music scene is used to teenyboppers and l'il rappers. But these days
country music, once considered a genre for more mature audiences, is riding a
new wave of young stars -– who are bringing along young fans. Launched by
"American Idol" champ Carrie Underwood, this MySpace age is being propelled by
young artists such as Taylor Swift, Lady Antebellum, Jypsi and many more. Their music
still has the traditional tears, trucks and cheatin’, but also lyrics that speak
to their peers -- about sneakin’ out to meet a boyfriend, batting out truck
headlights, and wondering about an absent mom.
