Has a tipsy Cupid haphazardly fired off a couple of arrows to produce yet
another random, age-mismatched Hollywood pairing? The New York Post says Mandy Moore, 23, and Matthew Perry, 38, were spotted out on a date last
week at a Beverly Hills, Calif., restaurant. "He was already seated and
waited for her for 15 minutes until she arrived," a snitch tells the paper. "He
stood up to greet her and gave her a kiss on the cheek. They were holding hands
across the table and being really close and laughing a lot the whole time." The
sweet-as-pie starlet seems to have a soft spot for funny guys. Earlier this
year, she admitted to sinking into a bit of depression following her 2006
bust-up with Zach Braff.
How did Christina Applegate and Johnathon Schaech mark the three-month anniversary of their
divorce being finalized? With tongue, of course. People reports the former
flames bumped into each other at Los Angeles club Les Deux on Friday night, a
chance meeting that soon led to some nostalgic smoochies. "They just made out
all of a sudden," an onlooker tells the magazine. "They didn't really look
around to see who was looking, it just happened, but it wasn't that weird after.
They just went along talking to friends and separated soon after and both kept
partying." Applegate, who is currently riding high off the success of her new
ABC sitcom "Samantha
Who?" was also spied clasping digits with her ex, but she reportedly wound
down the evening in the company of girlfriends Eva Longoria and Sara Ramirez.
Did Dominic Monaghan's watery exit from "Lost" sink his romance with co-star Evangeline Lilly? So claims the New York Post,
which says the scruffy thespian was seen snuggling up to another woman at a Los
Angeles eatery a few days back. Still, it might be premature to declare things
over for Monaghan and Lilly, who reportedly began dating in early 2005 and have
been the frequent subject of engagement rumors. Star recently spied them
spending quality time together at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills.
"I've fallen for him big time." That's Rihanna, gushing about the ineffable charms of Josh Hartnett to the London Daily Mirror. "I would be lying
if I told you we were not more than just friends," continues the ubiquitous
"Umbrella" chanteuse, who unbuttoned her cakehole at the World Music Awards last
weekend in Monte Carlo. So what is it about the follicularly challenged
lady-killer that has Rihanna singing his praises? "He is so hot and he is really
sweet to me," she's schmoopily quoted as saying. "When we hang out it feels
right -- even though it's still pretty new ... I have so fallen for him. He's
lovely."
Less lovely are rumblings that Shia LaBeouf's recent arrest at a Chicago
Walgreens was due in part to his dismay over getting dumped by the singer. "Shia
was crazy about Rihanna, and I think it sent him into a tailspin after she broke
it off," a "friend" of the actor explains to Star. "Hopefully, this arrest will
be the wakeup call he needs to pull himself together!" According to the Chicago
Sun-Times, Rihanna called Shia after she heard about the arrest "to make sure
he's OK."
Lance Bass probably has more than a few good hair days
coming his way. In the wake of his August split from Brazilian model Pedro
Andrade, the former boy-bander has rebounded with hairdresser Ben Thigpen,
reports People. The well-coiffed couple was snapped partying at New York hot
spot Butter on Monday night.
