Justin Timberlake joins the list of performers for the Grammy Awards

Jack White, the Black Keys, Carrie Underwood and Rihanna will also take the stage

 NEW YORK (AP) -- Justin Timberlake will be rocking that suit and tie at the Grammy Awards.

The 32-year-old pop star returned to music earlier this month when he released the single, "Suit & Tie," which features Jay-Z. The song is a Top 5 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

His performance at the Grammys will be Timberlake's first musical appearance on television in years. Most recently, he's appeared in movies like "The Social Network" and "Friends With Benefits."

Timberlake's third solo album, "The 20/20 Experience," will be released March 19. His last album was the 2006 multiplatinum effort, "FutureSex/LoveSounds."

Sting, Rihanna and Bruno Mars are slated to hit the stage for a special performance as well. Grammy nominees Frank OceanJack White, Carrie Underwood and the Lumineers will also perform. White is nominated for album of the year and the Lumineers are up for best new artist. They will join previously announced performers including fun., Mumford & Sonsthe Black Keys, Kelly Clarkson and Taylor Swift at the awards show.

Other performers include U.K. newcomer Ed Sheeran and Elton John who will perform together. Sheeran's "The A Team" is nominated for song of the year. Country singers Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley will also join forces onstage as will Alicia Keys and Maroon 5. Presenters include BeyonceKaty Perry, Keith Urban, Carly Rae Jepsen, Prince, Jennifer Lopez, Hunter Hayes, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw.

Fun. are nominated in all major categories, including Best New Artist, Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Album of the Year. Fun. will compete for Album of the Year with Ocean, Mumford & Sons, the Black Keys and White.

Leading the nominees with six nominations each are the Black Keys' Dan Auerbach, fun., Kanye West, Frank Ocean, Mumford & Sons and Jay-Z.

The 55th annual Grammy Awards will be hosted by LL Cool J.
