What, jazz, blues and classical aren't relevant enough to make it onto this website list? Man, would the Grammy people get their heads out of their asses and realize that all of the above music wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for blues and jazz, and even some classical. Get with it and include all musical categories in your announcement of nominees! This surely will lead to no one from those categories to perform at the Grammy Awards. Oh, that's right, they don't and haven't (unless your Herbie Hancock who has a tremendous breadth and depth to his music...yet it's all rooted in jazz).

I know im getting old when I don't know much of any new music. and true artists that actually play their instruments are not present anymore.

I agree with Mr B in what Rock is based on.......its Classical and Jazz.  Many of the first Rock groups studied Classical and at some of the best schools of music.  Have you really ever listened to Bach? There are math studies being done on his intricate  rhythms.  Studies linking students
who study music excel in Math and do better in most other subjects.  So why are the Gammies
restricted to rock?  I might watch if you expanded your styles.

Wow, they still have a rock category! Since either I am getting older, or I never even heard of some of the people nominated for Album and Song of the year, whatever happened to nominating more rock people. There are some excellent rock singers, musicians, and bands that never get the attention they rightly deserve! Well, I am glad to see that Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, David Bowie and Neil Young are nominated.
