Long regarded among the first rank of guitar heroes, Jeff Beck is part of the famous Yardbirds triumvirate of
guitarists that emerged from the British blues-rock band.
Beck followed Eric Clapton and was subsequently joined by Jimmy
Page in a twin-guitar lineup before departing for his own Jeff Beck Group,
featuring Rod Stewart on lead vocals and future Face and Rolling Stones guitarist
Ron Wood on bass. Beck's solo career has matched those pedigreed bands
through his virtuosity and breadth, ranging from blues through fusion, heavy
metal and even electronica.
