Being raised in Lake Placid, New York, the only they don't know up there is there style. Being from that area, it is nothing but red necks still trying to make a dollar off of the 1980 Winter Games. Her singing on SNL is any indication on how she will be, then no one has to worry about her going anywhere but back home to McDonalds or to work the Parking Lot Booth Shack at then the Olympic Center for parking. Named after Lana Turner and the Ford Del Rey, Lana Del Rey was catapulted into the mainstream thanks to a string of viral video hits, namely "Video Games." After switching up her folky style as Lizzy Grant to a more subdued electro-indie rock, Lana's sepia-toned success happened even before her major-label debut, "Born to Die," arrived this year, punctuated by magazine covers and a notorious "Saturday Night Live" performance.
