I just checked. None of these names are from Mexico. Jose Feliciano is from Puerto Rico, Freddy Fender is an American born of Mexican parents in America, Julio Ingleasis is from Spain. So there! I just answered my own question. :)
I like the music of Carlos Santana he plays great music plus he plays a mean guitar. He knows music and plays it very well. In fact I still have some of his old music on LP's That I still listen to and still love to this day. To every body in Mexico happy Cinco de Mayo.
Ok, my goof. I didn't go through ALL 16 photos. My faith is restored. Yes! Freddy Fender is listed as well as many past greats. But if I find just ONE famous entertainer I will feel justified. Until then, never mind.
Cinco de Mayo, the regional Mexican holiday saluting the country's 1862
victory against French invaders at the Battle of Puebla, has evolved into a much
broader celebration of the country's culture north of the border: a boisterous
occasion ... morecelebrated from coast to coast. In honor of this cultural bridge, MSN
Music presents a photo gallery of some (but not nearly all) of the most notable
Mexican-American artists to have left a mark on domestic and international
popular music.
