Performing at the South Africa Concert

As an actor and musician, Zola is a one of South Africa's entertainment superstars. Born Bonginkosi Dlamini, Zola grew up in the ghettos of Soweto and released several successful records during the past decade, including 2000's "Umdlwembe" and 2002's "Khokhovula," before starring as a gangster in "Yizo Yizo." 2006 brought Zola's name into the international spotlight when "Tsotsi," a film in which he played a role and composed the soundtrack, won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Film.
