Performing at the South Africa Concert

Based out of Johannesburg, the Parlotones are a four-piece pop-rock outfit whose sound echoes the Beatles and R.E.M. Formed in 1998 and fronted by singer and songwriter Kahn Morbee, the band has seen their audience grow by leaps and bounds with each of their four releases. Their big break came with 2005's "Radiocontrolledrobot." Originally released only in South Africa, it was so successful that Universal picked it up and re-released it in 2006. They are currently working on a new record, due out later this year.
