Performing at the Japan Concert
Hailing from the Shimokitazawa area of Tokyo, Rize is a rock band with reggae
and hip-hop influences. They've been making records since 2000, when they signed
to Sony and released "Rookey," which charted at No. 8. From there it's been a
steady climb in international notoriety, with releases such as 2003's "Natural
Vibes" and 2005's "Spit & Yell." In addition, their single, "Gunshot," was
featured in the video game Gunsurvivor 4: Biohazard Heroes Never Die. Their
latest record, "Alterna," came out in 2007.
