Performing at the Japan Concert
One of the most virtual of pop groups, Genki Rockets isn't really a group at
all. It's the brainchild of Tetsuya Mizuguchi, who heads up Q-Entertainment; the
company created Genki Rockets exclusively for the video games Lumines II and
Lumines Live, fashioning the vocals by sampling and then mixing together several
female singers. Glamoove Inc., one of Japan's premier visual artists, designed
the video for their single, "Heavenly Star," which is a tribute to a-ha's video
for "Take on Me."
Help Genki Rockets combat our climate crisis by
downloading the Lumines Live! Tokyo Club Mix Pack, featuring a special remix of
"Heavenly Star." Between June 27th and July 17th, a portion of the proceeds will
go to The Alliance for Climate Protection.
