Universally revered neo-psychedelic dream-rock masters the Flaming Lips smash together Pink Floyd at their strangest with the Beatles at their most pop fanciful to create an off-kilter sonic majesty all their own. Last year, they released "The ... moreFlaming Lips and Heady Fwends," which found them collaborating with an eclectic mix of artists, from Ke$ha (who graces the cover of the record, holding singer Wayne Coyne's foot) to Bon Iver to Yoko Ono. Their next (velvet) slap to the face of the everyday, "The Terror," comes out this spring.
