DESTINY'S CHILD
The delicate politics of musical
groups are often likened to marriage, but give Destiny's Child points for disbanding with more dignity than
the average celebrity couple. The trio's best-known member, solo star and
rising actress Beyoncé, admitted in a June interview that their latest album
title, "Destiny Fulfilled," wasn't a coincidence. She, Kelly
Rowland and Michelle Williams confirmed they would formally disperse after
completing their concert tour in the fall. But they took pains to downplay the
phrase "break up" and termed the decision "the end of a chapter" in their
respective careers. |
